The final round of the 2024 NTBC was played in hot and windy conditions at Cape Schank. Tim was 2 shots in front of Barry going into the final round. But it was Stan who came home strong. Tim managed to hold on for a one shot victory on the final hole, his first NTBC win in 30 years. Well played and congratulations Tim.

Not The Buck Cup
Not The Buck Cup 2021 was hobbled by COVID. Playing across the border in NSW was controversial, and prior to the event there was real debate about staying in Victoria to avoid any potential state border lockdowns. As it turned out, we were right to be concerned as another Victorian lockdown was looming large. Tim pulled out prior to the event, leaving us as a 7 for the first time ever.
Fridays Round 1 was marred by the news half way through the round that Victoria was going into a 5 day lockdown as of Midnight. We finished our round, but there was real concern we were all over. Al was taking no chances and was in the car and down the highway before we cracked our first beer. It morphed into Survivor Thurgoona as BJ headed off after round 2. We ultimately managed to finish the tournament with Barry Williams going back to back (2020 & 2021), which we are all happy about, as he now has to book our 2022 event. Well played & Good on ya Baz!
After an unusually disappointing round 1, Barry Williams headed off very early on Saturday morning to find his swing. The early morning practise was worth the effort as he forced his way into contention on Saturday, but was unstoppable on Sunday to bring home a famous victory on the Yarrawonga circuit.
Dean Templeton wins the Not The Buck Cup for 2019 with 3 very impressive days of golf at Rich River. Runner up was the peoples favourite, Steve (BJ) Boland who also played 3 magnificent rounds of golf, but finished just 3 shots shy of Deans impressive 38 points on Sunday. Special mention goes to Tim Fifis who blasted his way out of the spacos after day 1 and never looked back, finishing 3rd in the tournament and announcing himself as a real contender in 2020. Apart from Stans special 39 points on Sunday, the rest of the field were left to have a good hard look at themselves.
The digs at Yarrawonga were so palatial we were lucky to play any golf at all. However we dragged our sorry arses out into the warm weather to battle the beautiful 36 holes at Yarrawonga, and then the Black Bull on Sunday.
